For many internet marketers this is tragic news. Market Samurai is part of their daily lives which can also be seen as a testament to the usefulness of this tool.
They have stated that they will use Bing, Yahoo and other search engines for some of their data, but that still will leaves a few features that will remain broken. For
example: The ranking feature that displays what position the users site is in for a particular list of keywords is currently not functioning. Not only is it inoperable
now but there may not be a fix for it in the software.
According to Market Samurai There are third-party companies that do have accurate APIs to Google, and they are pursuing negotiations to get access to that data. The only way to get this data is to buy it, and it will cost in the ball park of $40,000 /day With this cost Market Samurai has said that they would have to pass this on to the users as a monthly fee, as if they had to absorb it, it would bankrupt them. Currently to this point Market Samurai has been a one time payment software.
Market Samurai CEO has stated that the company will honour any refund requestfor customers not matter how long they have had the software.
Obviously this is a very difficult time for Noble Samurai, and how they handle this situation will be critical to their future as a company.
